Yankees Push Orioles To Brink

The Yankees take a two to one lead against the Baltimore Orioles in the ALDS. After a disappointing lose on monday the Yanks battled Baltimore for one game lead. Baltimore led the Yankees two to one in the bottom of the ninth inning and with Jim Johnson on the mound things were not looking so good for the Yanks. The inning started out with Ichiro lining out to left. Girardi then made a decisive move by pinch hitting Raul Ibanez for A-Rod. On the second pitch of the at bat Ibanez crushed a long solo home run and Yankees suddenly tied the game up. The game was all tied up until the bottom of the twelve. Ibanez got up to bat again and on the first pitch of the at bat he went up and out. the Yankees won the game three to two.
